Steering wheel for motor vehicles has outer wheel rim with non-slip surface and insert ring of wood

The steering wheel has an outer rim (5) with a surface consisting mainly of non-slip material. A ring (1) of any material, esp. wood, is inset into at least part of the rim, on the side facing the driver. The inner rim skeleton (4) has a jacketing (6), and this has an inset holder (7) for the ring. The non-slip material is a strip (8) of esp. leather wound around the jacketing. Jacketing, holder, leather strip and wood ring are fastened to each other by adhesive.
