DISAZO COMPOUND AND INK COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

[PROBLEMS] To provide an ink composition which, when applied as an ink-jet recording liquid to plain paper and processed glossy paper, assumes a bright yellow color and gives a print excellent in light resistance, gas resistance, and fastness to wetting. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Ink-jet printing with an ink-jet ink composition containing a disazo compound represented by the following formula (1) can give a bright yellow print excellent in light resistance, gas resistance, and fastness to wetting. [In the formula (1), X represents a specific diamine residue; and Y1 and Y2 each represents alkylamino substituted by sulfo and/or carboxy, phenoxy substituted by sulfo and/or carboxy, or anilino substituted by sulfo and/or carboxy.]
