FIELD: processes for working materials, namely polishing and grinding processes and equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: petal type wheel includes body, petals made of grinding cloth and secured to body of wheel for forming working part of wheel. Working part of wheel is divided to mutually alternating blocks with the same number of petals. Each block includes segments of three types with the same number of petals. Petals of first type segment have needle type abrasive grains; petals of second type segment have different type abrasive grains. Petals of third type segment have isometric abrasive grains. Abrasive grains of segments of first and second types are arranged relative to surface of petal base in such a way that they are directed from periphery to center of wheel and inclined by angle 45° near apex of petal; by angle 70° in central portion of petal and by angle 90° near base of petal. ^ EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of petal type wheel, improved efficiency and quality of working. ^ 4 dwg |
