<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management topology wherein variable DC output can be provided to a system load and a battery by only one time of power conversion, and/or variable DC power can be supplied to the system load by connecting a variable DC power supply and the battery in parallel. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a wakeup circuit includes a comparison circuit and an output determination circuit. The comparison circuit receives a first signal and a second signal, and provides a comparison output signal in response to the first and second signals. The first signal indicates the level of charging current supplied to the battery through a path, and the second signal indicates a predetermined level of wakeup current. The output determination circuit receives at least a comparison output signal and a selector signal from a selector circuit, and it provides one of the comparison output signal and the selector signal to a switch connected to the path and controls the state of the switch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
