<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus control method and an apparatus control program capable of performing control of an office apparatus in real time for saving power consumption while taking usability of the office apparatus into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: In a computer terminal 20 and a printer 30, status probes 21 and 31 detecting their use conditions are arranged individually. The status probes 21 and 31 are connected to a management computer 50 in a management center C via a network N.
