PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel inspection machine capable of re-orienting a non-round bottle conveyed by a starwheel conveyor to a selected direction before discharging. SOLUTION: The vessel inspection machine is constituted utilizing the starwheel 10 for conveying the non-round bottle in a large number of inspection stations before releasing the bottle 12 to a feed out belt conveyor 24. The starwheel conveyor 10 has a plurality of pockets 14 and is engaged with a brush guide rail 30 in order to correctly reorient the bottle oriented to an erroneous direction when the bottle should be released. The brush 32 has a front end edge concentrical to an axis of the starwheel and is interfered to the bottle oriented to the erroneous direction. In the vessel inspection machine, a radial gap is reduced to zero as the bottle is displaced along the brush and the front end edge of the brush is arranged such that the bottle has a receivable direction at a position where the radial gap is zero.
