PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return the pressure in a recording head back to an appropriate level by removing the pressure remaining in a channel after pressurization recovery operation quickly. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder comprises a pressurization recovery means, e.g. a pump 101, for ejecting ink from an ink ejection opening by driving an ejection driving element provided in a recording head 107 and increasing the pressure in ink channels F2 and F3 communicating with the ink ejection opening of a recording head 107, and a means for reducing the pressure in the channel communicating with the ink ejection opening of the recording head after the pressurization recovery means is driven. The pressure reducing means comprises, for example, a control means 120 for driving the ejection driving element after the pressurization recovery means is driven to perform preliminary ejection by a specified number of times.
