PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly provide information according to the changing traveling environment of a vehicle, in an on-vehicle information providing device. SOLUTION: When the traveling environment of the vehicle is in a normal state, navigation information is displayed on a display device 10, regardless of whether a parking brake is in operation or not (a). when a current position of the vehicle is on a narrow street, if freezing of a road surface is detected, based on a signal from a road surface freezing sensor or it is determined to be at twilight, based on date and time, the traveling environment of the vehicle is regarded as being in an emergency state, and providing of navigation information is stopped during non-operation of the parking brake (c). In addition, when an obstruction is detected in the forward of the vehicle based on an image from a forward monitoring camera in the state where a vehicle speed exceeds 30 km/h, alarm information is displayed in Figs. (b) and (d). Even when the traveling environment is in the normal state, information such as TV images and contents is provided only during the operation of the parking brake.
