PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core used for casting a gas turbine bucket. SOLUTION: This core (38) comprises a solid, upper main unit part, a pair of leg parts extended downward from the solid, upper main unit part and separated by a long, narrow slot, and a pair of pegs (46, 48) protruding axially from both sides of the upper main unit part at the position above the long, narrow slot (54) with a space left from an upper end edge of the upper main unit part. Pegs (46, 48) have oval sections and the solid, upper main unit part has the upper end edge, and pegs (46, 48) are radially closer to the long, narrow slot than to the upper end edge.
