PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component drive mechanism that makes compensations according to the temperature without using a temperature sensor by measuring the overrun from the relations between the overrun set in advance and the temperature and making temperature calculation. SOLUTION: Calculating the number of pulses which the sensor 108 outputs, the position to apply a reverse shunt is further calculated from the result of the above calculation (S11). The focusing lens 802 is driven to the target position (S12), until the focusing lens 802 reaches the reverse shunt (braking) position (S13), the overrun counting is started to obtain the overrun of the focusing lens 802 (S14) when judged that it has reached this position. Next, monitoring the phase change of the signals outputted by the sensor 108 until the motor M3 reverses from the original revolution direction (S15), the overrun counting finishes (S16) and a lock instruction is given to the focusing drive circuit 104 (S17) when judging that the inversion has started.
