PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control circuit for a feedforward amplifier for providing for pausing control and continuous adjustment of a control signal, for providing for the control signal to start at any point, and for further providing for rapid convergence without perturbing a system up or down one step to confirm the convergence. SOLUTION: A control circuit 430receives a sampled output signal 415. A non-offset control signal generator 440 generates a non-offset control signal based on the sampled output signal, and an offset voltage generator 450 generates an offset voltage by reference to voltages stored in a table or based on the non-offset control signal. The control circuit then combines the non-offset control signal with the offset voltage to produce a control signal 470. The feedforward amplifier then adjusts an error signal 422 based on the control signal to produce an adjusted error signal 425 that is capable of reducing distortion in the feedforward amplifier.
