PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus for generating an internal instruction in accordance with an area in which data are stored by a requested instruction when the instruction is externally received and executing the requested instruction, and to provide an electric appliance provided with the communication apparatus. SOLUTION: A control information storage section stores a property map for recording data supplied from a household electric controller together with their identification code, and a communication control section, when receiving a data input/output instruction together with the identification code from a controller, the communication control section, specifies the location of the data on the basis of the identification code recorded in the property map, generates and transmits an IASetup or IAGetup instruction to the household electric controller on the basis of the location of the data or generates the IASetup or IAGetup instruction to itself and executes the instruction by itself.
