PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable molding of a high-precision optical element by press-molding a glass material. SOLUTION: The method for molding multiple optical elements 40 comprises a first step wherein molding conditions are set so that an optically functional surface of each optical element is stably formed with an acceptable range of variation in deviation from a designed shape, a second step wherein the optical elements are molded under the molding conditions set in the first step, a third step wherein a mean value of the deviation from the designed shape is obtained by averaging the deviation observed for each of the optical elements molded in the second step, a fourth step wherein, based on the mean value of the deviation, the shapes of the molding surfaces of shaping die members 16 and 18 are re-processed into shapes which negate a certain amount of the deviation and a fifth step wherein the optical elements are molded using the shaping die members which have been re-processed in the fourth step.
