<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make selectable accurate waveform data matching with player's intention. <P>SOLUTION: This waveform selecting device is so configured that, when a detecting circuit 15 detects a key being released, waveform data 17b for muting which correspond to the code of the released key and the keying speed in the key depression are not read out of a waveform data memory 17.
