PRODUCTION METHOD OF EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT CATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an exhaust gas treatment catalyst containing vanadium pentoxide harmful to human being without deteriorating the high catalytic activity and while suppressing separation and diffusion of the vanadium pentoxide as an active component.

SOLUTION: The production method of the exhaust gas treatment involves mixing (1) a vanadium compound, (2) titanium dioxide, and (3) hydrated alumina in an amount of 0.5-15 % by weight in conversion into Al2O3(on the basis of the catalyst); forming the mixture; and drying and firing the formed product.
