<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a plate thickness to a prescribed plate thickness by effectively removing a disturbance of a specific frequency in a plate thickness controller for a metal rolling mill. <P>SOLUTION: The plate thickness controller for the rolling mill at least has a load detecting means for detecting a rolling load of the rolling mill and a roll gap changing means for changing a roll gap of the rolling mill. The plate thickness controller is provided with a plate thickness deviation estimating means, which estimates the thickness deviation on the exit side of the rolling mill from the deviation between the detected rolling load and a set load, and a gain filter which has a large gain only in a designated frequency band. The output of the plate thickness deviation estimating means is inputted to the gain filter. The roll gap is corrected on the basis of the output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
