PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a powder metallurgy process of a weight for a golf club head wherein the elongation rate of a finished product of the head is comparatively low, time for a manufacturing process is comparatively long and direct pressure casing of a precise design, characters, a mold number, a trade mark, and the like cannot be performed.
SOLUTION: This weight for the golf club head is manufactured from a tungsten-ferro-nickel alloy by precision casting, wherein the tungsten-ferro-nickel alloy comprises 15-40 wt% iron, 30-60 wt% nickel, 1.5-10.0 wt% chromium, and 0.5-5.0 wt% molybdenum. The addition of chromium can enhance the rustproofing erosion resistance of the weight, the mixing proportion control of nickel and tungsten can increase the surface uniformity of the weight, the addition of molybdenum in the proper quantity can reduce cracks caused by welding heat, and the addition of manganese, copper, vanadium and niobium in the proper quantities can improve the mechanical property of the weight.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
