PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus to confirm the state of the MRI apparatus without setting a subject. SOLUTION: A quasi-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) signal generating circuit is disposed inside the MRI apparatus. The circuit is controlled from a remote side such as a support center to obtain a diagnostic image on the basis of quasi-NMR signals. The operator can confirm the operation of the MRI apparatus and diagnose the presence of failure without setting the subject by transmitting the obtained diagnostic image to the remote side such as the support center and diagnosing the image.
