PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for managing temporary storage for content data as prescribed. SOLUTION: In managing the temporary storage of recording transports stream TS 3 permitted to make the temporary storage reproducible only for a temporary storage allowable time on a recording medium, the recording transport stream TS3 has time stamps each formed every GOP and the top time stamp among them is related to a reproducible top point for showing the reproducing top point to the stream TS3. Every time when the temporary storage allowable time is reached at the present time from the time stamp related to the reproducible top point, the reproducible top point is again related to some other time stamp later from this time stamp, thereby eliminating portions of the stream TS3 each corresponding to the lapse of the temporary storage allowable time from its reproducing range one after another to easily and exactly disable the reproduction thereof.
