PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a space necessary for inspecting in particular a painted surface on the vehicle side, concerning a painted surface inspection device for a vehicle equipped with a surface light emitting body 20 for irradiating the painted surface 1a of the vehicle flatly with light and CCD cameras 10 for inputting regularly reflected light by the painted surface 1a irradiated with the light, for inspecting the painted surface 1a by processing an image signal from the CCD cameras. SOLUTION: The surface light emitting body 20 is arranged on the side of a conveyance route to irradiate the painted surface 1a of the vehicle side with the light horizontally from the oblique direction, and the CCD cameras 10 are arranged adjacently to the opposite conveyance route side of the surface light emitting body 20, and a mirror 30 for inputting regularly reflected light by the painted surface 1a irradiated with the light and sending the reflected light to the CCD cameras 10 is arranged on the separated position along the conveyance route relative to the CCD cameras 10.
