PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a paper feeding device comprising a paper stand composed of a fixed inclination part and a movable part to be compact. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device comprises the paper stand 1, a base part 2, and a paper feed roller unit 3. The fixed inclination part 11 of the paper stand 1 is composed to be raised from the base part 2. The movable part 12 of the paper stand 1 is provided with an arm 4 that is installed on a lateral shaft 13. On the arm 4, a shaft body 35 of the paper feed roller unit 3 is installed. In the paper feeding device, the attitude of the movable part 12 is changed from a raised attitude into a fallen attitude, then the paper feed roller unit 3 is moved down. As the attitude of the movable part is changed from the fallen attitude into the raised attitude, the paper feed roller unit 3 is moved up. A drive gear 5 is installed on the lateral shaft 13.
