The bamboo core structure for snowboards and skis has an inner bamboo torsion box (4,11), which is resistant to bending and twisting and is independent of laminates. The inner torsion box is embedded within an outer torsion box composed of an upper (9) and a lower (3) strip, and side cheeks (7) which are of an impact resistant but pliable material..
