Workpiece comprises a module made up of at least two plies of a planar semi-finished product, whereby the plies are laid on top of each other to generate the outer contour of a module, whereby the volume of the module is made up of individual layers that are each formed by one of the plies. One or more of the plies is not flat. An independent claim is made for a method for producing a workpiece containing a module, whereby the image or template of the model is made from at least two individual flat, 3D deformed, non-planar plies. At least one ply has an extent equal to or greater than the extent of an underlying ply.
