<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp and lighting equipment, capable of reducing a starting voltage and of improving the rising edge of luminous flux, and composed by connecting a plurality of bulbs capable of being lit with light modulation. <P>SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp 1 comprises: an arc tube 2 wherein a plurality of the bulbs 6 and 7 annularly formed so as to face both ends 6a, 6b, 7a and 7b to each other are nearly concentrically installed, and which is provided with a connection part 8 for forming one discharge path by connecting the sides of the adjacent ends 6a and 7a to each other so as to communicate with each other; a pair of first electrodes 3, 3 respectively enclosed in the bulb ends 6b and 7b corresponding to both end positions of the discharge path; and a second electrode 4 enclosed in the bulb end 7a corresponding to the middle position of the discharge path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
