<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite input/output device for increasing substantial transfer speed per module and raising transmission quality by allowing a plurality of modules to simultaneously use buses with a host, so as to allow the host to simultaneously perform access to the modules. <P>SOLUTION: The host interfaces (11, 21) of the modules (10, 20) in a composite I/O card (1A) transfer data to the host (H) serially or in parallel by four bits, respectively. A bus arbitration part (2A) manages connections between the internal buses (13, 23) with each module and external buses (3) with the host (H). Especially when both the modules (10. 20) perform serial transfer, the command line (CMD) and first and second data lines (DAT0, DAT1) of the first internal bus (13), and the command line (CMD) and first data line (DAT0) of the second internal bus (23) are connected to the command line (CMD) and first to fourth data lines (DAT0, DAT1, DAT2, DAT3) of the external bus (3), respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
