PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic resonance imaging equipment wherein a dark band artifact due to a navigator echo is reduced. SOLUTION: Magnetization included in a first slice defined beforehand is excited at an excitation angleα(pulses 101 and 102). Magnetization included in a second slice crossing with the first slice is excited at an excitation angleβ(pulses 104, 105 and 106). A magnetic resonance signal generated from an area in which the first slice and the second slice cross with each other is detected (pulses 108 and 109). Thereafter, excitation of magnetization of the first and second slices is respectively canceled (pulses 111, 112, 113, 114 and 115). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
