PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water absorbing article such as sanitary pads and diapers for children or adults free from anxiety in security of a human body which can reduce malodor generation, skin irritation, and diaper rash. SOLUTION: This water absorbing article is composed of a composite metal hydroxide which includes at least one kind of metallic ions of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn or contains at least one kind of inorganic antibacterial agents which are a composite metal hydroxide.
