PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working program preparing device for preparing a working program to quickly and efficiently carry out corner removal working by using the reverse indexing function of a tool in an NC machine tool equipped with a tool headstock enabling reverse indexing. SOLUTION: At the time of preparing a working program for pocket working, when stock to be removed is left unfinished only by carrying out pocket working, a series of working programs reaching a corner working process for removing the stock being left unfinished are automatically prepared following the pocket working process. When this NC machine tool is provided with a tool headstock enabling reverse indexing (a step S7: Yes), the same tool as the tool for pocket working is automatically selected as a tool for corner working (a step S8), and a working program to be used in a status that it is inverted is prepared.
