PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-isolated step-down converter capable of achieving the improvement of efficiency by expanding the duty of switching elements with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A plurality of capacitors 3, 4 are connected in series between input terminals 13, 14 to divide an input voltage Vin. A switch circuit 15 is inserted between the capacitors 3, 4 and a choke coil 11. The switch circuit 15 supplies energy in sequence from each of the capacitors 3, 4 to the choke coil 11 while setting up the periods of sending out the energy of the choke coil 11 to the output side in between dead time periods TD when each of the capacitors 3, 4 are disconnected from the choke coil 11.
