PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the strength against the retraction force applied to a hook when the torque is generated in a torque limiter in which a coil spring is wound around a shaft passing through a housing, the hook provided on one end part of the coil spring is fixed to a hook locking part of the housing, and the required torque is generated by the relative rotation of the shaft to the housing. SOLUTION: In a torque limiter in which a coil spring 4 is wound around a shaft 3 passing through a housing 1, a hook 8 provided on one end part of the coil spring 4 is fixed to a hook locking part 6 of the housing 1, and the required torque is generated by the relative rotation of the shaft 3 to the housing 1, the coil spring 4 and the hook 8 on one end part thereof are formed of a leaf spring of the required width.
