PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition which has excellent mechanical characteristics, load deflection temperature, and surface appearance, and to provide its molded article. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition containing an inorganic filler is characterized in that the inorganic filler comprises particles having particle diameters of 1 to 100μm and particles having particle diameters of <1μm, wherein the particles having particle diameters of <1μm satisfies (a) that the rate of the inorganic filler (laminar compound) having equivalent area circle diameters [D] of≤300 nm is≥20% or (b) that the average value of the equivalent area circle diameters [D] is≤500 nm, and further satisfies (c) that a layer thickness [T] is≤200 nm or (d) that a layer thickness [T] is≤50 nm.
