PURPOSE: A spam blocking system equipped with a spammer IP(Internet Protocol) tracing function using a sender confirming mail and a method thereof are provided to make a spammer give up spamming by previously displaying reception refusal, obtaining/displaying an IP address of the spammer, and facilitating report of the illegal spammer with a simple spam report procedure. CONSTITUTION: An automatic classification address book is generated. A newly received mail is automatically classified based on the automatic classification address book, and is blocked in case that a sender address of the mail is not present in the automatic classification address book(S300). The sender confirming mail including an unidentified IP tracing means is automatically transmitted to the mail sender(S500). If the mail sender marks a sender classification menu of the sender confirming mail and returns the mail, the corresponding sender address is automatically or manually added to the address book(S700). A current connection address of the unidentified mail server received from the unidentified IP tracing means is recorded(S800).
