PURPOSE: Provided is a safety syringe having an improved structure wherein a needle is automatically hidden inside a sleeve, to prevent secondary infection from the syringe and to prevent the recycling of a used syringe. CONSTITUTION: The safety syringe includes a barrel(2) having a storage for injection; a plunger(4) slidably inserted along the space of the barrel(2) for storing the injection in the space of the barrel(2) or discharging the injection outside; a needle(6) connected to the front end of the barrel(2); a sleeve(8) for encompassing the barrel(2) and having a recycle preventing jaw; a holding member and a holding release member for holding the barrel(2) before the syringe is used; and a locking member for fixing the holding released barrel(2) into the sleeve(8), thereby preventing the recycling of the syringe.
