<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a price printing method which can print details so that a consumer can easily understand a total amount including a consumption tax when choosing a commodity, on a print medium such as a label. <P>SOLUTION: When a body price is input through a host computer, a printing amount calculation section 5 calculates a consumption tax amount and a total amount based on a net price, and outputs the net price, the consumption tax and the total amount as print data to a print control unit 3. When a corrected price as a total amount is input through an input part 8, it calculates a consumption tax amount and a corrected net price based on the corrected price, and outputs the corrected price, the consumption tax amount and the corrected net price as print data to the print control unit 3.
