<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a polyester-based resin by which impurities such as oligomers contained in the polyester-based resin are efficiently removed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for purifying the polyester-based resin is carried out in the coexistence of at least one kind selected from water and/or an organic solvent when removing the impurities contained in the polyester-based resin by bringing the polyester-based resin into contact with an extractant of a supercritical fluid. In a preferable aspect, the extractant is carbon dioxide.
