PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying ink which can suppress an amount of ink consumption at an ink supplying time to small and to provide a method for supplying ink by this apparatus for supplying ink, and a recorder having this apparatus for supplying ink.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for supplying ink includes a recording head 44 having a loop-like ink circulation passage 36. The ink of a subtank is circulated through the ink circulation passage 36. An individual channel 48 is extended from the ink circulation passage 36 corresponding to each unit head 40, and an individual opening/closing valve 50 is provided. The ink may be supplied only to the desired unit head 40 by opening only the individual opening/closing valve 50 corresponding to the specific unit head 40 and closing the others.
