PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance a muscle stretching effect to obtain a higher relaxed feeling by providing two-stage projections on the surface of a mat, and stretching muscles on each projection. SOLUTION: This mat for lying is characterized in that the surface of a base material is provided with the bowl-shaped projections formed of an elastic material, at prescribed spaces and that the surface of each projection is provided with a plurality of small cylindrical projections formed to be higher toward the center.
