PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally laying external facing material, individually recyclable, by dividing materials by easily releasing the integral relationship between a thermally insulating material and a horizontally laying external facing plate material when necessary, without separating and falling off, by easily uniting the thermally insulating material and the horizontally laying external facing plate material, without changing appearance design in construction. SOLUTION: This horizontally laying external facing material 1 is composed of the horizontally laying external facing plate material 2 having mutually engageably an upstream side molding part 2a and a downstream side molding part 2b, and the thermally insulating material 3 arranged on the reverse side of this horizontally laying external facing plate material 2. The horizontally laying external facing plate material 2 has a connecting part 2c connectable in a tightly fitting state to a connecting object part 3b in the upstream side molding part 2a. The thermally insulating material 3 has the connecting object part 3b connectable in a tightly fitting state with the connecting part 2c; and is characterized by integrating the horizontally laying external facing plate material 2 and the thermally insulating material 3, by connecting the connecting part 2c and the connecting object part 3b in a detachable tightly fitting state.
