PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container device for an automated storehouse, which allows an easy operation of up to taking out one test tube from an exclusive-use container such as a test tube container housed in the automated storehouse, and which enables to prevent trash, etc. from entering, under the state of storage. SOLUTION: The container is constituted of an approximately rectangular bottom wall section 10, a container main body 4 comprising a commodity encasing section on a pair of side wall sections 12 and 14 arising from the bottom wall section 10 while having an opening 20 formed at least on one of the remaining side walls, for taking out racks, and of a lid member 8 removably disposed upward of a group of racks whose periphery is enclosed by a middle frame 6. If an occasion requires, for the middle frame 6, the one with a form of a rectangular frame is used that is disposed so as to enclose, in block, the outer periphery of a plurality of racks 16.
