PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device of a rack for taking in and out a bicycle in a bicycle parking facility for surely stopping the rack not to move sideways when loading the bicycle on the bicycle loading rack or taking out the bicycle on the rack. SOLUTION: A base part is fixed on the bicycle loading rack with an upward U-shaped cross section freely laterally traveling on two front and rear parallel guide rails, in the vicinity of a rear end part side of an inner bottom face of the rack, a front part thereof is entirely lifted from the inner bottom face of the rack, and a tip part is provided with a spring plate reaching a somewhat front side of a middle part of the rack. A downward-directed rod is projectingly fixed to a part of the spring plate above the guide rail, and loosely inserted into a through-hole opened in the bottom face of the rack to project downward. As the spring plate is stamped by a front wheel of the bicycle, a braking member mounted to a lower end of the rod is brought into press-contact with either of the front and rear guide rails.
