PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake which always can attach a pad spring in the appropriate direction. SOLUTION: The disk brake comprises a caliper body 13 which is provided with a connecting portion 17 arranged across a pad assembling space 22 provided at an almost middle portion in the axial direction of a rotor, brake pads 35A, 35B arranged so as to be opposed with respect to a disk rotor 12, and a pad spring 45 which is attached to the caliper body 13 by gripping a connecting portion 17 by means of a pair of nail portions 56, 57 opposed to each other, and energize the brake pads 35A, 35B. The rotor entrance side and the rotor exit side of the connecting portion 17 have unsymmetrical shapes. The pair of the nail portions 56, 57 have the unsymmetrical shapes corresponding to those of the connecting portion 17 when the pad spring 45 is attached in the direction of energizing the brake pads 35A, 35B in the rotor exit side direction.
