摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismically strengthening method for a reinforced concrete structure, which is implemented easily and in a short construction period, and achieves sufficient improvement in the shearing strength of the structure. SOLUTION: According to the method, slots 3 each having a predetermined width is formed in one surface of a column 1 at a predetermined interval. Then steel plates 4 are inserted into the respective slots 3, and grout is filled in gaps each between the slot 3 and the steel plate 4. The steel plates 4 are fillet-welded 6 to a covering steel plate 5 beforehand, which is formed as a lateral shearing reinforcing member conforming to a side surface form of the column 1, and therefore the steel plates and the covering steel plate are formed in one body like theπin cross section.
