The bed (1), moving on castors (7), is assembled of a head board (5), a foot board (4) and a slatted frame (3) arranged between them. At least one railing (8) is laterally attached to the frame (3). The lower ends of the vertical bars (9) of the railing (8) are guided through grooves located at the inner side of round rotating elements and accommodated in angle elements. The round elements are positioned underneath the frame (3), facilitating the railing (8) to be slid and stored underneath the bed.
