The cleaning device (15) for cooking appliances has a hose (17) through which a cleaning agent is directed. One end of the hose is connected to a cleaning agent feed device, and the other end (25) is connected to a hand shower head (27) through which the cleaning agent is delivered. The hose is mounted on the cooking appliance (1) by means of a fixed holder (21). A movable deflection device (23) is provided for the hose and enables a pulling out of the hose from its neutral position into an operating position and a withdrawal from the operating position back into the neutral position. An independent claim is included for a cooking appliance equipped with the proposed cleaning device.
