The device for the centering of a clutch plate on a clutch housing or pressure plate in the clutch housing is a clamp (1) with a first (2) and a second (3) leg which encompasses and mechanically locks the clutch plate (4) and clutch housing (5). The clamp has a U-form outline shape. The first leg has a knob protruding in the direction of the second element, and the second leg on the end section (7) is angled in the direction of the first leg. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method for the centering of a clutch plate on a clutch housing or pressure plate in the clutch housing using at least two of the aforesaid devices; and (b) a method for the fastening of a flywheel on a clutch housing.
