A three-dimensional magnetic direction sensor (10a) includes a first sensor (101), a second sensor (102), and a third sensor (103), each of which is a magneto-impedance sensor element (10) having a magnetism sensing body (2) whose characteristics change according to an external magnetic field, an insulation body (4) formed to allow the magnetism sensing body (2) to pass therethrough, and an electromagnetic coil (3) consisting of foil-like electrically conductive patterns (31, 32) disposed adjacent each other on the outer surface of the insulation body (4). The first sensor (101), second sensor (102), and third sensor (103) are disposed such that the directions in which the magnetic filed detection sensitivities of the magnetism sensing bodies (2) are at their maximum are orthogonal to each other.
