PURPOSE: A method and system for providing an avatar in the middle of telephone conversation is provided to freely express each user's personality by making an avatar displayed to originating/terminating MSs(Mobile Stations) when a call is connected. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing an avatar in the middle of telephone conversation comprises an originating MS(120), a terminating MS, a BS(Base Station)(10), an avatar server(20), and a G/W(Gateway)(40). The avatar server(20) comprises the first avatar database(211), the second avatar database(212), and the third avatar database(213). The first avatar database(211) stores avatars to be provided to users through the avatar server(20) so that the user of the originating MS(120) can select an avatar to be displayed to the terminating MS when a call is connected. The second avatar database(212) stores the avatars provided to the avatar server(20) by users or the avatars selected by users among the avatars stored in the first avatar database(211). The third avatar database(213), as an avatar display condition database, stores information on conditions to display avatars. |
