PURPOSE: A system for providing a location-based announcement service is offer provided to automatically a previously appointed announcement message to a subscriber or a target user, appointed by the subscriber, in case that the subscriber approaches near the target user or the target user approaches near the subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A location-based announcement service providing system(30) is comprised of a subscriber supporting part(100), a subscriber database(110), an HLR interworking part(120), a service processing part(130), an SMC interworking part(140), and an ARS server(150). The subscriber supporting part(100) receives subscriber registration information from a subscriber's wire/wireless terminal, stores it in the subscriber database(110), and provides a user interface to check, modify, and delete the subscriber registration information stored in the subscriber database(110). The HLR interworking part(120) receives a zone update message, based on a user's location movement, from an HLR and modifies the user's location information stored in the subscriber database(110). The service processing part(130) finds out a subscriber or a target user corresponding to the user contained the received zone update message in the subscriber database(110) and provides an arrive announcement message or a leave announcement to the subscriber or the target user. The SMC interworking part(140), interworking with an SMC, transmits the arrive announce message or the leave announcement to the subscriber or the target user. |
