<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate unevenness of illuminance on a display surface of a liquid crystal monitor even when brightnesses of LEDs are different from each other. <P>SOLUTION: A light source unit 11 and a light guide means 16 are arranged on the backlight device 10, and LEDs 25 with low brightness and LEDs 27 with high brightness are arranged on the light source unit 11. The LEDs 25 and LEDs 27 are arranged at the central part and both end parts of a lengthwise direction of the light source unit 11, respectively. Light emitted from the light source unit 11 is converted into a flat light source by the light guide means 16 composed of a reflection plate 13, a light guide plate 14, and a diffusion filter 15, and irradiated on an object to be irradiated like a liquid crystal panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
