<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximally shorten a time for updating even upon an anomaly in a specific slave device when updating software for an MPU loaded on each slave device, in a plurality of slave devices (equipment) connected in series to an host master device (information control device) by a serial transmission cable. <P>SOLUTION: After the master device 20 assigns destination slave numbers to block data into which program data are divided and broadcasts blocks one by one to each of the slave devices 24-1 to 24-10, each slave device receives only the block data to which its own slave number is assigned. As an anomaly in block data reception, writing or the like in each slave device is checked from response data and stored, subsequent block data are sequentially broadcast. After the transmission of all the block data, broadcasting is performed so that only the slave device 24-2, for example, related to the stored anomaly information can receive the corresponding block data again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
